DynDOLOD Re-installation

cardinalix

Question

Hello all!

I am having an issue when entering Windhelm: "Can not read data from DynDOLOD_Tamriel.json". I did my best to resolve the issue via Google searches and tried re-running the scripts but no luck. The only thing I have not tried is the suggestion of uninstalling and reinstalling DynDOLOD completely. Before I do that, I wanted to ask: will this screw anything up? In the guide I remember it saying that it was important to install all the mods in the order they appear in the guide. If I uninstall and delete all the files it created, re-install it and make sure it is in the same order as it was and re-run the scripts again, will that cause more problems than it would solve? And second question, will I be able to resume my same save game or will I need to start over? Thank you!

You should be able to fix this by either replacing the DynDOLOD.esp file in the mod folder with the DynDOLOD.esp.bak file (remove the .bak from the filename) or by redownloading DynDOLOD and replacing the esp with the one in the download; Whichever of these you do, you should re-run the scripts, and everything should work fine. If it still doesn't work properly, then yes, you can completely re-install DynDOLOD, making sure it's in the same spot as before. As for your second question, yes you should be able to resume your save game.
