No Underwater effect - is clear

Question

PC is Win 10 12GB ram , GTX 980,  Intel i7 3.07 GHz

 

I have no underwater effect , it is clear. I have followed the latest Step guide , so all the ini setting that "should" be enable are on

( I hope )

 

The ENB I'm using is Phinix Natural ENB "ini" are below.

*note  Description on Mod page says ' Texture Filtering - Negative LOD Bias" (or something similar) is set to "Clamp" or "Off" ' .  Is this correct ?

 

Some other issues

CTD are rare, but usually only happen if traveling by horse across country/road. I can continue if I reload a saved prior to the CTD ( saving along the way)

My followers horse , is sometime invisible , but fast traveling , the reloads the followers horse.

One "raindrop" , becomes, one long thing white line, again this happens sometimes, in heavy rain storms

Torches outside make reflected objects very shining , like snow, walls, If there is a lot of NPC about with torches , then its very noticeable

 

This is my load order Step guide mods , using the contemplation patch, and some personal Mods. Is there anything that's WRONG  with the load order or a bad unnecessary Mod ?

I don't use ENB (only ENBoost), but I noticed a few things.

 

You mention problems with horses and followers...I see you have added at an additional horse mod and an additional follower mod, so there are possibly conflicts.

 

Same with the rain...you have added a bunch of different storm mods, so there may be conflicts there, or if the ENB controls weather (again, I don't know anything about ENB).

 

Also, I see you made a custom TES5Edit Merged Patch. What edits did you make? If you just let it automatically make the merged patch without inspecting it, I think it could do more harm than good.

 

That's my guess why a merged patch is not in STEP, anyway.

 

Lastly, Relighting Skyrim is awfully low in the load order. Might be the source of some of the light issues. Make sure the recommended STEP LOOT Metadata rules are properly applied to LOOT.

Forgot I had this in Load order Horses Revamped

Compatibility

  Convenient Horses - compatible, see bug solution below.

  Immersive Horses - this mod and my mod both makes changes to the Horse Race, you can put IH's esp later in your load order or make a patch.

  Realistic Running Speed (or other movement speed mods)- put HorsesRevamped.esp later in load order

  

  Bug Solution

  Horses that are spawned for followers with Convenient Horses can sometimes appear invisible or have a stretched tail. There are 2 ways to fix this: 

  1. [*]You can disable follower horses in Convenient Horses MCM and use the horse whistle to call your horse.
  2. You can use the optional file "Horses Revamped - Animations" instead of the "Horses Revamped - Full" version.

TES5Edit Merged Patch. is in the Step video , I followed that , so lvl list are deleted , that is done by bash' What else do I need too do with the merge file ?

I have followed the STEP guide , but implementation WAS off , think i left a 0 out , in any event  is now been fixed , thanks

Hmm, that looks like normal ENB underwater if you ask me. Enb makes it almost clear but with some effects.

I want blur , like my Morrowind :)

I have dof off in the ini for enb , should it be on ,my ini settings are above

You can control how the water looks if you want to tinker. Shift+Enter will open the GUI with in-game. You'll want to adjust the parameters in the water section.

 

No I need the right tinks to tinker with first

 

Can someone check out my ini Above , I posted in the ENB section , for that to happen ,has anyone checked if the setting are correct , given this is in the STEP recommendations of ENB

You INIs for ENB look okay. This is being control per weather though, so you'll have to tweak the files in the ENBSeries folder for the weather that you're currently playing under. Tweaking ENBs is no small tasks but since it's just underwater effects you're tweaking, then you can do it once and copy those settings for the rest of the weathers. This will give you your baseline. If you find it looks off in any particular weather, then you'll have have to edit the settings for that specific weather a bit more. Alternatively, you can just turn the weather system off and use the only the enbseries.ini to control everything, but it will not be as custom.

Yep , lost ..lol  I have noidea , what setting, and in what direction to tweak anything , so I'm not flying blind making changes I don't understand , will pass it on too the mod maker , (ask for blur water ) underwater effect.

 

I just surprised with the effort of Lore imposed , by Step, that , clear underwater is allowed and tolerated , in using ENB

 

The WET EYES mod , seems ok ,but  there are issues  ( read WET EYES post) that concerned me , so that needs to be improved first before I would use it

STEP doesn't officially support ENB Presets. The ones found in the ENB Guide are suggested for their being up-to-date, compatibility support, and robustness without going over the top with their effects.

 

Yep Guide great BUT it is there , and the Mod is been used and it does have INI setting that  may conflict with your STEP Guide ini settings

 

Also please note , that most players I feel are using weather mods , and the ENB I'm using  Phinix Natural ENB does suggest Weather Mods too use.

 

In my first post , I mention the Clamp  Off  suggested by Phinix Natural ENB , again this is different to the Step Guild, as mine was ON , Since doing that , I have not have this problem , with the rain below

 

One "raindrop" , becomes, one long thing white line, again this happens sometimes, in heavy rain storms

 

I only mentioned the above  in my first post, because , its  "water"  even if its rain, no idea if it was relevant , but posted anyway.

 

Streamlining the Guide , with the MODS  and suggested MODS too use , just makes for a better Step Guild , as Phinix Natural ENB , is one of the better ENB especially if your using weather MODS

 

So would like this all too be taken into consideration , when questions arise , from , following the Step Guide , be it Core,  Extended , or ENB suggested Mods

 

PS , still no underwater effect , lol , but it seems more difficult  too implement , than I first thought
