The S.T.E.P. Guide Section 2.D. Fixes. Mod 7 on the list.

Question

I was so happy when i discovered this guide, I think it's a great and helpfull initiative for the community and mooding noobs like myself!

However I belive I have found an error in the S.T.E.P. guide as refered to in the above title.

I have been followering the S.T.E.P. guide to the letter hopeing to aviod any crashes when im done modding, but when i tried to install the "S.T.E.P. Guide Section 2.D. Fixes." Mod nr. 7 on the list.

Known as "STEP Optimized Vanilla Textures", I was asked if I had the "SMIM" mod, and "Realistic Ragdoll" installed and I got alittle confused, beacuse I was told in the STEP guide to install the mods in the shown order which I intend to do.

I do intend to install both the RR and SMIM mods, but they do not show up in the STEP guide till section "2.D. Fixes." Mod nr. 30 and "2.F. Conflicting Graphics" mod nr. 3. respectively.

So what do i do? Install the SMIM and RR mod first and then STEP Optimized Vanilla Textures, which would mean that I am NOT followering the guide to the letter? or...?

Tank you for your work and dedication!

Also I am sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, this is the very first forum ever I have signed up to, so please bare with me.

You grabbed the wrong file. You grabbed the Compilation rather than the Optimized Textures.

would it be a lot of trouble for you guys to seperate these mods, i.e., each with their own Nexus page?  It would be a little easier to track changes and a little less confusing for non technical newbies (I was ok, but trying to help other people, especially those without a solid grasp of english has sometimes revealed problematic)

These mods both pertain to STEP, so separating them does not make sense. You just need to pay attention to the mod names as indicated in the instructions for each mod. Many Nexus mods contain various files used for different purposes relating to the corresponding Nexus mod, so it is not unique.
