  1. Yeah, I see your point. I seem to have gotten everything working thus far. It took me quite a while to chase down the source of a lighting problem I was having, which turned out to be ELFX not wanting to be placed anywhere other than at the very bottom of my Load Order. After that, I had to figure out why my ENB was freaking out; causing half of my screen to be black all of the time. It turns out I had to open the Skyrim Launcher through Mod Organizer in order to disable AA & AF. Once I did that, the ENB started working as intended. For now, I think the only thing I can do is play the game. It's been stable so far, having just made it to Riverwood and about to be heading out for Whiterun to speak to the Jarl. I won't know if I've got any serious problems until the pop up, I suppose. Although, I'm going to look into using TES5Edit to figure out if there's any guaranteed conflicts as you've mentioned.
  2. I'm not sure if this will change your answer, but here's an update. The CTD may have been benign, because I haven't been able to replicate it. The freeze that I experienced, which I can replicate, I believe is an issue with the "Alternate Start" mod itself, and not the game. I've just finished using the Stress Test that Vurt recommends on his "Skyrim Flora Overhaul" mod page; TCL and Player.SetAV SpeedMult 1500 via the Console. I "flew" around for about 10 minutes straight, and although I was stuttering like mad, I didn't experience a CTD. This is without disabling any of the mods I have installed, including those I added onto STEP Core / Extended. Do you still think I should remove the mods I added after STEP Extended and see how things go for a while first? Oh, and how do I use TES5Edit to determine if there are any conflicts that need to be resolved? I've never heard of that before, actually (the method; I've heard of TES5Edit before, lol). Thanks, Greg!
  3. Hi, everyone. Last night I finished installing STEP Extended (STEP Core obviously included in that). I followed the instructions of everything exactly as they're listed, with the exception of using high-res textures for most of the texture mods. After installing STEP Extended, I also installed a few additional mods used in Gopher's videos, such as Frostfall, Camping, Winter is Coming, Deadly Combat, Deadly Dragons, Revenge of the Enemies, and a few others. Upon loading into the game using the Alternate Start mod, the game freezes if I choose the "Camping in the Woods" option. Choosing a different option I'm able to fully load in, but CTD after a few seconds of running around outside. If I post a complete list of the mods I added in addition to STEP Extended, would I be able to get help identifying potential mod conflicts that could cause the CTD? I know it could also be the dreaded 3.1GB RAM limit because of the high-res textures though... Gah, this happens EVERY time I try to mod Skyrim! :(
  4. I know the STEP Texture Compilation is installed properly, so I downloaded the Vanilla Skyrim LOD Billboards from the link you provided, and now it seems to be running the script without an issue. It's currently processed 195,568 of 244,464 records. If it fails to finish properly, or I load the game and things look all wacky, I'll post back. Otherwise, thanks for the help! :)
  5. I have a problem with the last step of the current STEP guide, revolving around DynDOLOD. Notes: Yes, I've been able to run the DynDOLOD TexGen script in TES5Edit.Yes, I have the line mentioned in the STEP Detailed Instructions for DynDOLOD added to my Skyrim.ini file.Yes, I have the STEP Texture Compilation installed. My problem is that when I try to run the DynDOLOD Worlds script in TES5Edit, I get some error messages, and the script doesn't actually run. The first error stated that I needed to deactivate the BirdsHFclean.esp plugin associated with the Birds and Flocks mod the STEP Guide has you install. After deselecting that plugin and trying to run the script again, it tells me that it couldn't find the "tree LOD billboard," whatever that means. I tried getting help in the General Support & Troubleshooting section, but it was suggested I post here, directly in the DynDOLOD thread.

  7. Yes, I did the TexGen part; I stated that in the very first line of my initial post. Yes, the required line is added to my Skyrim.ini file. Yes, I have the STEP Texture Compilation. As I said, I've followed the guide in its entirety, exactly as it's listed. This applies to every single mod installed.
  8. I guess you didn't see the part at the end of my post. I've tried deactivating BirdsHFclean.esp before running TES5Edit and attempting the DynDOLOD World script, but all that happens is another error. This time it mentions something about not being able to find a tree LOD billboard, whatever that means.
  9. I'm at the portion of the STEP guide that has me taking care of DynDOLOD. I already successfully ran the DynDOLOD TexGen step, but can't get the DynDOLOD World step to work. I go into TES5EDIT, click OK and let it run until I see "Background Loader: Finished." Then I right click any ESP file, select Apply Script, and choose the DynDOLOD World script. I right-click in the box and click select all so it selects all worlds, choose an empty folder on my desktop for output, then click medium for the quality; nothing happens. What I read in TES5Edit after that says that the script ran successfully, but nothing has been processed. When I exit TES5Edit, it doesn't ask me to save any changes to the DynDOLOD esp, and the output folder I selected is empty. The guide doesn't say anything about unchecking that plugin, so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to. Unchecking the BirdsHFclean esp and trying this again yields yet another error; something about a tree LOD billboard being missing...
  10. Installing the DSR Hotfix solved the issue! Thank you to everyone who contributed to solving this!
  11. That hasn't fixed the issue. Although the Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp is now located immediately after Skyrim.esm and Update.esm in the Mod Organizer Plugins tab, I still get the same error when trying to run the Dual Sheath Redux patcher. It tells me that the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp requires the Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp and that I must activate it and try again. But, it's already active...
  12. I'm working my way through STEP, doing Core and Extended. My problem is that I've made it down to 2.N. Patches, and now I can't get the Dual Sheath Redux patcher to work because the Unofficial Skyrim Patch esp isn't loading before the other unofficial patches (Dawnguard, Dragonborn and High Resolution). I've tried both LOOT and BOSS, and the problem persists. Any ideas? This is getting on my nerves, since I'm THIS close to being able to play the game.
  13. I really like the idea, but I wish there was a feature where we can actually wash our own clothes. Like, your clothes will get dirty over time and you have to wash it when it starts to smell, haha!
  14. Tracked it because I'd like to see what it turns into. New Lands are always a good idea. :D
